Yes i write my script from scratch but i reading it to inspire (i use a french version of MQ and some case doesn't work if i take this script directly and also i rewrite it to understand what he do)
I use the command rcdmqimg on my QM but i have the impression that MQ do it natively (all the 1H30).
I modify my script for just taking count of AMQ7468 file.

Have you looked @ support pack MS0L. (Java)
We use it on Unix with great success. But it can be used as well on Windows and has classes to deal with the Registry....
This is one of the support packs for linear logfile maintenance.
It has classes to deal with date time in different (localized) time formats so a French version of MQ should not be any problem...
Now as said before there is a specific package for windows linear logfile maintenance... You might want to try that...
