Can we delete a V5 broker without having its entries in 'tnsnames.ora' file ?
Can anyone advise ?

i don't see what tnsnames.ora has to do with the message broker.
even if you use an Oracle DB (most likely since you ask this question) your connection is specified in /var/mqsi/odbc/.odbc.ini (unix).
in .odbc.ini there is a reference to the database name that is used in tnsnames.ora but there's nothing more than that.

But doesn't deleting the broker also delete the tables from the DB. So, without an entry in tnsnames.ora, this can't be done.
