All,
I told someone that there was a posting on the top things to monitor in WMQ.
I have Googled and searched here for it but I cannot find it. Does any know where it is or am I just getting senile?
Regards,

It's either buried in some sort of long discussion between many people - possibly in the thread about the master process list?....
Or it's from a *long* time ago. I don't remember it. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I guess another possibility is that it was on the listserv, not here?
I'm not on the listserv, so... _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I searched for monitor + process + health.
But Mark Taylor in that thread says:
Quote: |
If processes are not running (in particular amqzxma0) then you know MQ is not running.
If processes are running, you cannot infer anything about the state of the system. For example, it might be hung.
So it's really not worth checking. Use dspmq or MQSC PING instead. Or put some dummy work through the qmgr.

Hi,
I was thinking in terms of channel state, DLQ, appl queue depth, etc... rather than the processes.
