I there a way to display an MQ thread queue object runtime relationship? (without using a 3rd party tool such as BMC)
Thanks. |

I haven't seen it, but I believe that WebSphere MQ 5.3 has in it the ability to tell who has a queue open. There really isn't any way to tell on 5.2. |

That is correct you need to use v5.3 to see who has the queue open, unless you are talking about OS390 _________________ Jeff

Patrol for MQ Operator from BMC will tell you (on most platforms) who has got which queue open, IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE EXTENSIONS TO THE PRODUCT.
This change (below MQSeries 5.3) pre-empts the 5.3 API-crossing exit, by doing pretty much the same thing; everytime an application does an MQOPEN, MQPUT, MQGET or MQCLOSE it is trapped and logged somewhere. There is a performance overhead for this obviously.
I think MainView (an ex-Boole&Babbage product now owned (like B&B) by BMC) does the same thing on OS/390, because this info is available to users (unlike other platforms).
It (PMQO with extensions) is not available on OpenVMS.
