After creation of a new (empty) configuration I cannot connect the buildtime to the local database (DB2 ESE 9.1):
FMC59628E (error when reading the BT Database Type from registry),
several CLI errors follow.
Is there any knowledge or solution?
Thanks. |

Can you expand a little on your problem.
When you created the configuration did the Config utility initialize the BTDB properly? It is not clear to me from your question whether your problem occurred at configuration time, or whether the database was created and now you can not access it. _________________ John McDonald

Thanks for these quick reactions. What I did is very simple and
all default. DB2 ESE 9.1 might be the problem. Workflow is 3.6, after
I installed FP 4 the problem looked exactly the same.
On Windows XP I use the configuration utility to
create a new Configuration ID (FMC),
configure only Buildtime,
select IBM DB2 UDB,
select instance 'DB2',
create new database 'FMCBTDB' with all defaults of the dialog,
enter correct Connect parameters,
select system 'FMCSYS.FMCGRP,FMC,FMCQM' (default).
The creation and configuraion of the new Buildtime database is successful.
'FM33910I New profile FMC was created successfully.'
The DB2 Version is 9.1.0
The Error occurs when I start the Buildtime FMC:
'FMC59628E Could not read from the Windows registry, value:
BTDatabaseType'
Subsequent error is:
'S0002: [IBM]CLI Driver][DB2/NT] SQL0204N "MYUSERID.FMBT_VERSION" ist ein nicht definierter Name. SQLSTATE=42704'
(means is an undefined name)
FMBT_PERSON is also undefined and the client exits. |

OK, now I have checked the prereqs list, only DB2 8.2 is mentioned.
I already had version 9.1 installed because of another evaluation activity.
Thanks. |
