I am running, or trying to atleast MQ on SunOS ap116aral 5.9 Generic_118558-30 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V890.

MQ Ver. Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 530.13 CSD13
CMVC level: p530-13-L061205
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)

When I try to run strmqm I get the following...

Purchased processor allowance not set (use setmqcap).
AMQ7626: XA resource manager initialization failure. Refer to the error log for
more information.

Then I try to run the setmqcap cmd and get the following;

AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (20008101) has occurred.

any help will be much apprecieated. Thanks so much!

Hi

Whats your error log stating?regarding XA resource manager initialization failure.

This is the usage:
setmqcap <number of processor>

when i try to run setmqcap I do the following

setmqcap 8 and get the same error as I said before; here is what i have in the error logs;

EXPLANATION:
The purchased processor allowance for this installation has been set to 8 using
the MQ setmqcap command.
ACTION:
None.

EXPLANATION:
An error has been detected, and the MQ error recording routine has been called.
ACTION:
Use the standard facilities supplied with your system to record the problem
identifier, and to save the generated output files. Contact your IBM support
center. Do not discard these files until the problem has been resolved.

AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (20008101) has occurred.

EXPLANATION:
An unexpected reason code with hexadecimal value 20008101 was received from the
WebSphere MQ queue manager during command processing. (Note that hexadecimal
values in the range X'07D1'-X'0BB7' correspond to MQI reason codes 2001-2999.)
More information might be available in the log. If the reason code value
indicates that the error was associated with a particular parameter, the
parameter concerned is .
ACTION:
Correct the error and then try the command again.

Is this queue manager configured for XA?

If so, disable that and try again.

Did you open a PMR with IBM, and send them the FDC files?

Did you *look* at the FDC files, and search the IBM website for the probeid?
