hi,

i am getting this error while running my client application using amqmdnet.dll in c#.

there is no problem with the functionlity as it works fine.

but it writes in event application log....

Error on receive from host rpms_svr (127.0.0.1).

An error occurred receiving data from rpms_svr (127.0.0.1) over TCP/IP. This may be due to a communications failure.

The return code from the TCP/IP (recv) call was 10054 (X'2746'). Record these values and tell the systems administrator.

i read in some forum that it might be because of disconnecting from the queue manager....

well what i am doing is.....

queue.close();
qMgr.disconnect();

please help......

Double posting is considered rude. Triple posting is worse. If you post in the wrong forum either delete the post or ask a moderator to move it.

You might also want to answer the question I asked if you want more help. Repeatedly asking the same question over and over is unlikely to get you a different answer!

Now - again - what version of MQ is this???

Read it where? Was there any additional information in the forum? Have you looked up the return code from IP? Have you followed any other diagnostic procedures apart from repeatedly posting here?

There's no point us suggesting stuff you've already tried. If anything.

It might be. It might also be the CIA jamming your transmissions or terrorist action for all we can tell! Give some information - specifically your MQ version that I keep asking for and what action you've already taken! Help us to help you!

That's fine, you've learned, we move forward. With more information posted please.

Me attempting to be funny.

So you have v6 & you suspect a firewall problem. Have you investigated the firewall settings? What has brought you to this conclusion? Have you investigated the TCP/IP return code?

Does the error occur on all program terminations?

Yes, but does it occur every time your program terminates, or only under certain conditions?

And what about my other questions? What brought you to the conclusion that the firewall is at fault? Has you investigated the TCP/IP return code? Or the firewall settings?

You need to prove a bit more information if we're going to help...

2059? NOW we're getting somewhere!

Search the forum - 2059 is probably the most common application error and there have been endless discussions on it. If it works for 5 or 6 transactions then fails the first (but not the last) things I would investigate would be the connection object in your program getting corrupted (memory leak or similar) or a network facility terminating the connection.

Do the search. There's an ocean of information in here.
