We have created two queue managers - one for broker and one for configmanager. Where do the applicaiton put the message which reuires processing by broker? Any queue under the queue manaer assigned for broker? or any other mq queue?
If the messages are not put in the queue in the queue manager assigned for broker, can MQinput node access the queue outside of the machine where the node ( wmb tools) is intalled ?
What about the output queue? Shout this also be in the queue manager assigned for broker as the input queue?
Or, can the MQinput be assigned any queue outside of the queue manager for broker and configmanaer?
Does this mean that the queue manaer assigned for broker, thus has a broder scope, out side of the broker as it host queue for application.
I know this is very basic queuestion for you but I could not find a exact answer in the literat and important to proceed.
Thank you very much for you help |

Are there any properties on the MQInput node that let you specify what queue manger to read from? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

That is why my question is where does the MQinput node read message from ? A queue in broker queue manager ? Is this correct? Also, it puts message to a queue in broker queue manaer. Is that correct?
If this is so, then, application has to put the message in the queue in broker queue managger or there should be other application which pikcs up message from the queue where application has put and puts in to the queue in broker queue manager from where MQinput node picks up for processing.
Is this correct?
thanks |

Jeevan, Jeff is trying to tell you that if you look at the properties of an MQInput node, you'll see that you can only specify the queue name, not a qmgr name. So, this means you can only read from the qmgr that the broker is using. On the output node, you can specify a queue and queue manager name. _________________ -wayne |

Don't you think to do the above, by defining proper intercommunication between the QMGR where the PUT application is running and the broker QMGR, it is no more an issue. |
