In our testing we are encountering a problem that we're concerned about that prevents us from receiving messages. This error that is reported from MQ Series:
MQJMS3023: Subscription has an active TopicSubscriber
This typically happens when our application is unable to cleanly exit and close the subscription, session and connection (e.g. VM fails or abnormally ending when debugging). After this error happens, we are unable to re-establish the durable subscription. |

Did you ever get a solution to this problem? |

When the application abnormally terminates, the channel remains active. Eventually the channel will detect loss of the the network connection and the channel will stop. If the application tries to reconnect while the channel remains active, we get the error message. Once the channel stops, the application is able to reconnect. This seems to occur with durable susbcribers only.
Available options are wait for the channels to stop, change the HBINT to desired timeout, or administratively stop and start the channels to allow the application to reconnect. |
