I am facing a problem while using CSD7

I am trying to create a blob using

SET blb_TheBlob = ASBITSTREAM(OutputRoot.MRM ENCODING encoding CCSID CodedCharSetId SET 'MS_IMS' TYPE 'IMS' FORMAT 'TDS1');

After this statement my first field in my OutputRoot.MRM gets set to NULL.

The same statement with CSD 5 works fine.Is there anyway that the MRM gets modified when creating a blob.

Is this some problem with CSD or something else.

Just a thought, but assuming the CSD 7 also applied to the workbench: Did you rebuild the project after applying the csd?

No - as far as I'm aware, the ASBITSTREAM function is a read-only operation on the message tree. It certainly will not delete your message tree.

Are you quite certain that OutputRoot.MRM was non-null before the statement was executed, and null immediately afterwards? If you have been using the flow debugger, it might be worth double-checking the situation using a couple of trace nodes in your flow

Thats what i thought too,ASBITSTREAM does a read only operation.Let me get back after checking with a trace node
