I've been having a problem connecting to MQ .

I am trying to use a JMS bridge on Weblogic to forward and receive messages to/from MQ.
Both the MQ instance and the Weblogic instance are started using different Solaris users.
These two users do not have a common group.
It's been suggested that this may be preventing me from being able to send messages between MQ and Weblogic.

Does this sound like it could be the problem for MQ?
Do I know if there are any MQ security constraints that rely on the users etc?
Have anybody heard of having similar problems

If the weblogic user is not authenticated to MQ, then it will not be able to connect to MQ and put or get messages.

You can use an MQ command called "setmqaut", which is very well documented, to authorize users that aren't in the mqm group (and you probably don't want to put the weblogic user in the mqm group) to do stuff with MQ.

Hmm. I have securityexception
javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: MQJMS2013: for MQQueueManager used incorrect authentication credentials.
but weblogic located on my local machine and mqseries manager running on remote linux. Connect via TCP/IP. I think in my case it is not "user non in mqm group" problem?
