Hello,
I am evaluating the MQ Extended Transactional Client. From http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/mqfamily/support/memos/win/memo.txt , I learned that IBM doesn't support the MQ Extended Transactional Client when used with Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS).
That same web page said to refer to APAR II13466 for more details on this issue. Unfortunately, I've discovered there is very little information concerning this issue in APAR II13466.
Where can I find out details about the types of problems encountered when using the MQ Extended Transactional Client with MTS? If these problems don't affect me, I can still use this product.
Thank you!

(As per a PM)
I believe the issue is it hasnt gone through the complete IBM tests (successfully).
The last I heard there were problems, they may or may not have been resolved BUT it isnt officially supported until it has gone through such tests. |

Microsoft told me they don't support the MQ client with the Biztalk MQ adapter because the extended transactional client does not support DTC.
This has obliged us to install a Windows MQ queue manager in order to make the Biztalk MQ adapter function.
Any chance of the MQ extended transactional client supporting DTC? |

IBM and JasonE have told me that WMQ 5.3 extended transactional client with MTS is not available for now.
IBM told me that this issue has no target delivery date.
So for now, we'll have to live without this support for MTS.
Thanks,
Jared |
