U can use this as
java DeleteMessage Queue_name Queue_Manage_name MsgId
MsgId - the hex dump from amqsbcg
eg:
MsgId : X'414D5120514D3120202020202020202041A3B27620000202'
give MsgId as 414D ... |

you could try setting MQNOREMPOOL=1 in system environment variables. |

I figured what I was doing wrong.
actually the message id was not a string but was a hex string and also not the whole of:
X'414D5120514D31202020202020202020419163EA20000303'
but just the hex ... |
