That seems rather ridiculous to me. From what I understand there are two reasons to use linear logging. Media recovery, and the ability to look at and replay at old transactions.

I prefer not to manage the client installs but thanks for the suggestion.
I just want to verify the rumor that IBM doesn't support you if you are just using the jars without the client installed. |

The new version works! I used queue manager name LONG.QUEUE.MANAGER.NAME and it works correctly.
