Answering the first question the properties are not grayed out.
This flow was working fine the previous day.
I have created a new message flow as suggested and the Input node opens correctly.

Thanks but I resolved this. I checked 'Use as message body' in the Output message of the compute node and it resolved the problem

I have MQSeries Client 5.3 installed on my PC. Using WMQSI vers. 2.1 to create message flows etc. For testing, is it then possible for me to use the command mqsiput from my pc?
