well,I guess dspmqver/mqver works only with MQ server... not with client.

Well, I thought to check in the registry files because in MQ server you can check the version over there too in MQServerVer ...

Ok.. MQ 6.0 doesnot support DCE... but what about MQ 5.3 ?

Well, while installing MQ 5.3 it got failed because these files were not present...

*dce.client.rte.pthreads 3.1.0.0
*dce.pthreads.rte 2.1.0.1


any idea ?

backout is as suggested by the whole team.. WAS team recycled was but still it didnot work

Actually we have done successfull upgradation from MQ 5.3 to MQ 6.0 and with fixpack 6.0.2.3... but after that WAS application creating problem because the WAS team didnot stop the WAS before upgradat ...

I have used smitty > Software Installation and Maintenance> Software Maintenance and Utilities>Reject Applied Software Updates ...

Yeah ! I am sure the file size is 2KB and buffer size is 4 KB.

file size if 2 KB..
and now buffer size is 4 KB..
but still facing the same error.

but still the error is same while browsing the queue.

I've already changed the buffer size from 101 to 1024 as you can see below.

MQBYTE buffer[1024]; /* message buffer*/


Shall I increase it to some more extent or there can be some other prob to ...

the file size of XML is 2KB only...

and my MAXMSGL is 4194304 bytes i.e 4 MB.
