Yep..it does work for a while and then stop. When you say 'something is not closing the resource properly' would this be on the Mainframe or Websphere side of the equation

Thanks for getting back to me. The 8000+ messages are processed ok before the crash, but there are a total of about 12000 to do. so there are 4000 undone.
