When using MQCONNX can i use the host name of the server inplace of the IP address without any other changes??

For example, can i have:

mqcd.ConnectionName = "123.456.78.9(1420)"

and

mqcd. ...

Also, if i try to declare an MQCD variable, I get an error stating that it's an undeclared identifier....
