| I don't think they are using the XA. But all they want is... if MQ1 goes down, then the client should point to MQ2 and when MQ1 comes back, then the client should start pointing to MQ1. |

I think, this UUID is created based on your local system/network parameters and otherthings like timestamp etc. So, its unique across the usage.

Try to suspend the qmgr from the cluster and then try to stop the Qmgr that u r trying to do maintainance. Once u fixed, then issue a resume Qmgr and that should work better. I am just guessing.
