I had to open a PMR and IBM had to send a script (mqsi6_odmcleanup.sh ) to clean out Object Data Manager containing any references to mqsi60.

Here's the reply for IBM in regards to if WMB 6.1 can use DB2 9.5 as the broker repository:
Currently only DB2 8.1 and 9.2 are supported and tested with WMB 6.1. You would get support for WMB 6.1 ... |

I recall the install docs saying you install the RAC as root but makes no mention of running the RAC ... |
