You haven't specified that, but I presume you're using version 6. What are you doing to check if the Config Manager is running. Can you make simple mqsilist command?

Which user owns the agent process? You can try to set permissions for user with setmqaut. If it's not enough You can always try to secure agent with passphrases, but I've never tested them.

What about network connection, is listener on qmgr running? Can you telnet to its ip and port? |

There should be AMQERRxx.LOG on the client side. Is the /var/mqm/errors folder empty?
