we don't have any value set for MaxActiveChannels in ini file. Thats why i was interested to find out if MQ use any default no.

I think you can configure the channel start service depending on Queue manager using MQ explorer (on windows). You just need to specify the 'runmqchl' and pass channel name as a argument.
