Right, I agree with you. The manual is giving the specific conditions that it will preserve message order. Any other condition (ie messages taking different paths) - no guarantee.

You can only use runmqchl for a sender or a requester channel (not CLNTCONN or even SVRCONN). |

On OS390, you would change the QMCCSID parameter in your ZPARMS. That is in the member CSQ4ZPRM in the SCSQPROC pds.
