Hello,

we have a special task for our both MQ-Cluster ClusA and ClusB. We want to forward some Queues from ClusA in ClusB and converse, but we won´t have these Qmgrs in both Clusters (Overlapping Clusters) Our requirement is a solution like a gateway. Possible with an own QMGR (Member of both Clusters). I tried this with using AliasQueues on GatewayQM (targetQ is a Clusterqueue in ClusA and Alias visible in CLusB). But the effect is, that the messages thrown into DeadLetterQueue on the GW-QMGR with Reasoncode 2082.

Has anyone a solution for my Problem? Im very apreciate if i get a nice suggestion.

greetings Matthias

Hi Matthias,

have you remembered to set DEFBIND(NOTFIXED) option on the QALIAS.... I've tried allmost all different configurations... on how to connect MQ-clusters.

You can take a look on my infopage:
http://d1o111.dk.telia.net/~u149101068/cluster_qma_3.htm

What you're explaining are overlapping clusters... take a look on some of my cluster configurations there might be somthing of interest for you...

Just my $0.02

An alias is not working, as far as i remember.
You realy need to setup a gatway as mentioned in the manual.
I.e. at least 1 qmgr participating in both clusters.

It all depends on how you configure it.....

ClusA is hosting the queue QlA. in ClusB we've created:
Clussdr and clusrcvr (only for ClusA), namelist(ClusAClusB) with ref to both clusters and the Qalias QaB clusnl(ClusAClusB) DEFBIND(NOTFIXED).
The last catch might be the program just be shure it don't use DEFBIND(OPEN)... This work for me on 5-10 overlapping clusters (for the same reason).

Just my $0.02
