I tried Remote Administration of queue manager MQ1D on OS/390 with MQSeries Explorer and MQJexplorer on WIN NT. I have got all needed object: Sender and receiver channels, xmitq on source qmgr and SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN channel on target qmgr MQ1D. I doesn't work! I get message on MQSeries Explorer and MQJexplorer that the remote qmgr is not available for connection. I can only send MQSeries commands to OS/390 with runmqsc command:
runmqsc -w 30 -x MQ1D

What shall I do to enable remote administration?

Sorry. At the moment, runmqsc is the only way to go.

The OS/390 version of MQSeries does not use PCF messages like most (all ?) the other platforms.

The MQ Exporer and MQJExplorer use the PCF format. The -x parameter on runmqsc is telling it to use text instead of PCF.

There was some talk (rumours) a while back about enabling PCF in the OS/390 version, but it doesn't seem to have happened.

You might also want to look at some of the 3rd party products, as these (usually) have agents for all the platforms.

Cheers,
