We are migrating MQ v8 to MQ 9.2 & IIB v9 to ACE v11. As part of migration, we restored all MQ objects from the previous version. All the Queues and Channels are restored and we are able to start the SDR-RCVR pair channels.

We have Java.Channel SVR Conn channel that are in in-active state and wont go running. QMGR listener is Running. There is no channel log activity which says there is no error. Can someone help point to what is missing here to get the Java.Channel into "Running" status on the new server?

Sure, all you need to do is start a MQ Client application that connects to the SVRCONN channel. Then there will be an instance of channel status that shows it is 'RUNNING'.

A SVRCONN channel will always be 'inactive' (ie. no channel status) if nothing is using it.

SVRCONN channel would be used by application, check application was up and running and was able to connect to QM.

Check any MQ exception throw in your application aswell
