Customer has selected MQ 9.2 on IBM Cloud.
Seems fine, can create things, connect using runmqsc and define all the objects and authorities I want, but I can't see or update the qm.ini settings, such as max channels and max active channels.
I tried the knowledge centre link and found that the link was broken.

Anyone know if it's exposed anywhere through the cloud CLI please?

Stanzas in the mq.ini file for the qmgr.

What do you mean you can’t?

I mean that all that is exposed is a browser based GUI and a rudimentary way of editing the queue manager configuration (like an alt qmgr list of attributes) which does include max handles, but doesn't include max channels or max active channels, which are, in more traditional MQ in the qm.ini.

So, I don't think those values are exposed in the browser UI and the 'RTM' option isn't available since the link's broken.

What browser based GUI? MQ Console?

Not really, no.
I do have MQ Explorer connected to the queue managers I've created, but I seem to remember it is called explorer in the cloud UI, but it's nothing like the Eclipse based GUI.

How/where do you launch it? Please be precise?

Does your mysterious GUI have a Help or About menu item? If so, does it offer its identity?

Not my specialty, but … If it’s truly IBM Cloud, then it’s likely the MQ Console you are using.

Yes, it is labelled as the console.
It's not a very broad coverage of the configuration.
The stuff that you'd get from "dis qmgr" and can alter all of those things, but I really don't see anywhere it exposes the tunable parameters that there are in the qm.ini file. Be very happy if I'm wrong....

Again, not my specialty, but …

The IP address allocated to the IBM MQ cloud instance was disclosed at create time. I’ll surmise (guess) that you will need to log onto the image, and navigate down the file system path to the mq.ini file, and use an editor to make chances to the appropriate channel stanzas.

Please be precise: what IBM Cloud produce(s) are you using?

The cloud version doesn't expose the file system for me to edit qm.ini, otherwise, I wouldn't have asked this question.
It's not like VMware, as far as I can tell, although I'm sure it has something of the sort under the covers.

When you use the console to view queue manager properties, is there a section entitled Channels? Can you have a look in there and see what items are shown?

Are they read-only or can you edit them.

Cheers,
Morag

There isn't a channels section in the main 'Manage' option in what is named as the console.
I think I know what you're driving at, since I've read pages about being able to update it in a channels section before as well.
This is the list of attributes available to edit. I realise some of them might not be optimal, but none of them is the max channels or max active channels.

Within the 'Console' there is a manage option, which has
Queues, Topics, Subscriptions and Communication.
