Hi Guys,

I am trying to do a POC for IIB9 to IIB10 migration where IIB9 is running on AIX and IIB10 is on Linux.

I took backup of IIBNode from AIX and tried to execute mqsirestore in linus where IIB10 is installed. While executing mqsirestore command showing successful but there is no IIB node visible after excuting mqsilits but while excuting mqsistart <IIBNODE> getting below error. Can you please help me on this.

Each component has configuration data associated with it, and this data is versioned to ensure that the component can only be run under a product version that supports this level. The component level is 7 and the current code level only supports 8.

Note: I am not sure mqsibackup taken from AIX will work on LINUX or not

mqsirestore will only work in the same OS environment. You cannot port from AIX to Linux using it. You need to go to your scripts and recreate the broker and eg's from scratch...
Have fun

I'm sure my worthy associate will comment on his experiences in due course.

We migrated from WMBv7 on Solaris to IIBv9 on RHEL using the method he outlines, and subsequently from IIBv9 to v10 likewise. Currently poking ACEv11 with a stick.....

The biggest problems we've had are getting all the deployed elements regression tested by their owners prior to going live. We found turning off the old servers to be an effective inducement.

The biggest one would be missing build scripts...
