Hello,

can I ask You, if the IBM ACE (ex IIB), version 11 (11.0.03), on-premise (standalone, non cloud), supported on AIX OS? According to the IBM ACE 11 online documentation (e. g. http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27050962), I can find only Linux and Windows currently supported.

edit: I read in https://developer.ibm.com/integration/docs/app-connect-enterprise/faq/ the statement: "As part of the IBM App Connect Enterprise announce we made a statement of direction regarding other platforms which are not in the above lists such as IBM AIX, Linux on z System, Linux on IBM Power and IBM System Z." According to my not so good English skills, I guess, that "we made a statement" means a past tense (= statement was already published), but I can not find such a statement now anywhere on Internet. Could someone be so kind and direct me to such statement? /edit

We are running IBM IIB 10 on AIX OS, so there is a question, if ACE for AIX on-premise (standalone) will be ever supported, or if AIX is out of support now in 11 or soon will be out of support in the near future versions and we should start to make a decision to switch from AIX to Linux.

I have nothing against Linux, even as a user and developer I could be even happy to get all of modern command line tools in Linux out of the box, but the switch from AIX to Linix is not only a question of personal preferencies.

Thank You for the answer in advance, Stepan

Stepan, search for AIX in the ACE Announcement Letter at the following link:

http://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/ShowDoc.wss?docURL=/common/ssi/rep_ca/3/877/ENUSZP18-0043/index.html&request_locale=en

When they will do that? I don't know.
