Hello Guys,

I am trying to assign an expression like below for the length of another field in DFDL and it is always evaluating to empty string.

Code:

 <xsd:element dfdl:length="{9826  - (100 *  xs:int(/CTXReply/Header/ItemCount))}" dfdl:lengthKind="explicit" ibmDfdlExtn:sampleValue="aa" name="AddInfo">

Getting CTDN3069E: Value '' is not facet-valid with respect to minLength '1' for element 'AddInfo'.

Can someone please shed light on what is wrong with this. ItemCount is a numeric field with a proper value

I am using IIB 10.0.0.14 on windows.

Thanks,[/code]

Have you taken a DFDL trace? If not, please do so and post the relevant portion here (feel free to remove anything confidential first)
