After issuing REFRESH CLUSTER REPOS(YES) on partial repository qmgr, amqrrmfa reports 2085 (Unknown object name.) for SYSTEM.CLUSTER.COMMAND.QUEUE, which is of course not missing, and amqrrmfa holds an open queue handle for input exclusive on that queue, but that's what appears in event messages in SYSTEM.ADMIN.QMGR.EVENT queue. Did anyone else experience that? I do on v9.0.0.5 for AIX.

Was it trying to open SCCQ for output on another qmgr?

I think the event message relates to opening the queue on the same qmgr:

Code:

[  200 bytes] String (MQCFST)
Type         :4 (String)
Struc Length :68
Parameter Id :2015 (QMgr Name)
CCSID        :0
String Length:48
Value        :'name of the qmgr where the event message is found'

But in any case, it is defective behaviour, right?

Seems a bit odd. Can you reproduce the error? If yes, try running MQ trace. It will show exactly what the MQOPEN was trying to do.
