Hello peeps,

I tried to search but did not find any hints...

Just happened today, one of the receiving queue in distributed got filled up resulting to messages stuck in our cluster default transmission queue..the
SYSTEM.CLUSTER.TRANSMIT.QUEUE all of us can understand this situation.

My question is if messages stuck in cluster transmit queue due to above, does it affect the other outgoing messages in the cluster with no issue in destination queue? I only have one cluster so channels are belong to this cluster... no other cluster in this qmgr in Mainframe.

Thanks,
Migz

So long as there is space in the SCTQ (not at MAXDEPTH) it will continue to work. As the queue depth increases, performance will degrade as it does for any queue with significant depth.

If you want to avoid this, consider using multiple SCTQs according to your requirements.

Do messages still arrive on other cluster queues? Does channel status for cluster channels still show increasing bytes transmitted?

Depending on your CLUSRCVR channel's Message Retry Parameters and the status of the Dead Letter Queue on the destination queue manager with the full queue, messages going to other queues on the same queue manager may be significantly delayed if not completed blocked.

Messages to other queue managers should still be deliverable, with the caveats that Vitor stated.
