I understand that IIB Application is a container for the resources that are deployed and managed together.
Suppose I have two message flows (MF1 and MF2) in an Application. Due to a bug, only MF1 has to be changed. There is no change in MF2. When I create a BAR file, it contains both MF1 and MF2. So basically even if MF2 hasn't been changed, it will be redeployed.
Is there any way where I can redeploy just the changed Message Flow without touching the existing unchanged message flow while doing the Application deployment?
Hi...the idea of an application is that it should include all the artefacts required for it to work, any redeployment need be done at the application level only. If your deployment is automated then you can easily manage/ensure that the new revision is only picked up for the changed artefacts while the others still use the previous revision no.
If you really want to deploy the flow as separate bar file your options are,
- reduce the scope of the applications (eg:- redesign it to include only the tightly coupled artefacts)
- use the old way of doing things via 'Integration Projects'
