Hello,

Can someone explain me what am I missing in chlauth ? I have this chlauth setup but still get the error in the logs.

Here is what I set
Code:
SET CHLAUTH(MO71.SVRCONN) TYPE(USERMAP) ADDRESS(192.168.56.1) CLNTUSER(mqm) MCAUSER(mqm) USERSRC(MAP)

DIS CHLAUTH(MO71.SVRCONN)
    47 : DIS CHLAUTH(MO71.SVRCONN)
AMQ8878: Display channel authentication record details.
   CHLAUTH(MO71.SVRCONN)                   TYPE(USERMAP)
   DESCR( )                                CUSTOM( )
   ADDRESS(192.168.56.1)                   CLNTUSER(MQM)
   MCAUSER(MQM)                            USERSRC(MAP)
   CHCKCLNT(ASQMGR)                        ALTDATE(2017-11-07)
   ALTTIME(11.39.02)

but I still see this error.
Code:
AMQ9776: Channel was blocked by userid

EXPLANATION:
The inbound channel 'MO71.SVRCONN' was blocked from address '192.168.56.1'
because the active values of the channel were mapped to a userid which should
be blocked. The active values of the channel were 'MCAUSER(mqm) CLNTUSER(mqm)'.

EDIT: I know its not advisable to use mqm but I was only using it for my testing purposes.

You also need a blockuser type channel auth record with a non existing user if you want to use a privileged user....

Thank you. I was unable to access my test machine past few days so couldn't validate it. I can now connect to the queue manager by adding the blockuser type.
