Hi,

I am trying to apply MQ permissions to a GLOBAL DOMAIN group which I am successful. But the subgroups under it doesn't seem to inherit the same.

MQ v8.0.0.5 - Windows

Commands I used below:

setmqaut -m QM -t queue -n Q1 -g DOMAIN1\GROUP1 +get +put +inq +dsp +setall

Here,
Global domain group: DOMAIN1\GROUP1
Sub group: SUBGRP1

P.S. I have included the below stanza in qm.ini
GroupModel=GlobalGroups

Please can you assist

I don't see in the documentation where it says that they do.

It wasn't mentioned in the documentation. But was expecting that it would inherit.

Ok what do we need to do for this.

I see a couple of actions:

- a PMR to see if it's supposed to cascade through the child groups, and obtain an APAR if it is

- a scrap of script to walk the groups and apply the permissions to each one
