Hi All,

IIB9.0.0.6

I need one help on IIB aggregation flow. we had a requirement to implement aggregation of multiple responses which was done with aggregation nodes. flows seems fine working in SIT and going to Performance Test Env. Also followed a common pattern in this client flows to keep additional instance as 3. Did not notice anything problem in my testing etc. All of a sudden , came across two KC links.

Quote:
Do not deploy multiple copies of the same fan-in flow either to the same or to different execution groups.

This sounded some what alarming to me, It is bad that I never saw this before.Went and did some testing with deploying flows in 2 EGs and each has 3 additional instances on it. Did not notice any issues.

I am thinking, this is a typo information in the KC. because no other nodes have these restrait of not allowing deploy in multiple EGs to process more requests

Have any of you faced this mentioned issue in flows really..?
Any thoughts are greatful.

If you did not test under stress i.e. more than a few concurrent aggregations, you may not see any unpredictable results. You should also have 5 or more replies in a single aggregation for your stress testing...

Thanks fjb_saper
let me try out some more loading testing, we have 2 or 3 backend response to aggregate at max depending on req paramter.
Could you please share the link which says the constraint of 5 or more to replicate the issue, In that case, it should be fine as we have 2 r 3 max.

There is no constraint for 5 or more. I just thought that it would be more observable, the more responses you get...
