Hi Guys,

I am implementing multi inst queue manager setup on windows.
while adding standby instance- i ran this command

addmqinf -s QueueManager -v Name=Qmgr1 -v Directory=Qmgr1 -v Prefix="C:\ProgramData\IBM\MQ" -v DataPath="\\sharedserver\data\Qmgr1"

but im getting error- AMQ7026 A principal or group name is invalid.

Please help.

First you must use an AD service user when using the MI qmgr on windows.
Look up all that needs to be behind it.
Second you need to specify the "Domain mqm" AD group that is added to the local mqm group when you create the queue manager and use the flag -a or -ar when creating the qmgr... And of course "Domain mqm" group needs to have full control of the mqm shared drive... and you may have to run all these commands in an elevated privilege command window (run as admin)
