I have MQ V8 and MQ V9 trail on my win 10 pro laptop.
I have set MQV8 as my primary installation.
When I run the default configuration wizard from my IIB9 toolkit, I got error
AMQ6292: The queue manager is associated with a different installation.

I can see that the QMgr is with my V8 installation
QMNAME(IB9QMGR) STATUS(Running) DEFAULT(no) STANDBY(Not permitted) INSTNAME(Installation1) INSTPATH(C:\Program Files\I
BM\WebSphere MQ V INSTVER(8.0.0.3)

I look at the wizard log, it shows
WebSphere MQ queue manager created.
Directory 'C:\ProgramData\IBM\MQ\qmgrs\IB9QMGR' created.
The queue manager is associated with installation 'Installation1'.
Creating or replacing default objects for queue manager 'IB9QMGR'.
Default objects statistics : 82 created. 0 replaced. 0 failed.
Completing setup.
Setup completed.

then it fails

Starting MQSC for queue manager IB9QMGR.

AMQ6292: The queue manager is associated with a different installation.

This shows that it create the QMgr under installation1 which is my V8.

Why it is going after a different installation when creating the listener. ?

Is this a known problem or did I miss something.

... I no longer have IIB installed on my laptop - or MQ.

So, the only thing I could do would be look it up in the KC...
