Greetings all,

Denver, CO - June 6-8

We are looking for a few more people to sign up. I know it's vacation season and all but we've been nagged about not holding these sessions in the western US, then when we do get approval we have a hard time filling seats. There I go whining again.

To enroll, please contact the following:

a) your local IBM rep
b) Shalawn King - shalawn@us.ibm.com
c) Chris Griego - cgriego@us.ibm.com
d) Ron Fortin - rfortin@us.ibm.com
e) Mitch Johnson - mitchj@us.ibm.com
f) or me - elkinsc@us.ibm.com

Thanks for your time and attention!

When did Colorado become 'The West?'

I don't make up corporate geography, I just have to live with it.

I did work for a company that assigned Canada to Europe. A semi logical reason; the first Canadian customer was in Quebec and they needed the account team to speak French. It quit making sense after that one customer dropped the product and all the rest of the Canadian customers were from English-predominant provinces Corporate inertia had set in firmly by that point, and they continued to fly sales people across the Atlantic for customer calls in Canada for years. If they were still in business, they'd probably still be doing that.

Around the mid to late 1800's, about the same time that Ohio, (formerly part of the Old Northwest), became part of the Midwest. Did you need a more precise timeline?

No timeline required. My comment should have been translated to "Oh, really?!"
