Did anyone crossed by or saw before an ATM switch implementation on IIB?
I`ve been working in banking for more than 5 years, and I never passed by that case. So, it was weird for me to see a customer who is requesting to implement an ATM Switch on IIB and let all the ATM machines connect to it!!
This topic is not a question, I am just asking if its regular or common to do so.

My knowledge in this area is very rusty but I did put the first ATM systems into a number of countries in the 1990's.
The ATM network was always kept totally separate from anything else. The ATM system also used a HSM (Hardware Security Module) for PIN encoding/decoding. All this must be very , very secure.
I'd love to know what they expect to gain from implementing this change? ATM switches are there for a reason.
I feel this is not only a silly move but a very expensive move and at the moment I can't think of a valid business reason for it.
I expect some othere will pitch in before long. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Which customer is this? I'd like to move any money I might have with them out while there's still time...... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
