I was looking at getting AMQP enabled for a POC and it seems that using the FixPack route this is just not possible.
Quote:

4 : define channel(MY.AMQP) chltype(AMQP)
AMQ8494: AMQP commands are not available.

I followed the instructions to enable the command level

Code:

C:\>dspmqver
Name:        WebSphere MQ
Version:     8.0.0.5
Level:       p800-005-160516.2
BuildType:   IKAP - (Production)
Platform:    WebSphere MQ for Windows (x64 platform)
Mode:        64-bit
O/S:         Windows Server 2012 R2 Server Standard Edition, Build 9200
InstName:    Installation1
InstDesc:
Primary:     Yes
InstPath:    C:\IBM\WMQ
DataPath:    C:\IBM\MQDATA
MaxCmdLevel: 802
LicenseType: Production

C:\>

Is it really true that to get this working I have to use the 8.0.0.4 re-mastered version?
From what I have read, this version is not avaiable via Partnerworld and only to customers?
at least I have not been able to find it. all the links point me towards Passport advantage.

Does this restriction still apply for V9?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

I'm surprised you can't get the RefreshPac on Partnerworld...

I'd guess that installing that and then installing the FP for .5 would work...

I *should* know more about MQ v9 than I do, but..

I'd generally expect that features in v8.x would be included in v9 and would work better.

I took another approach and found the 8.0.0.4 refresh pack on Partnerworld.
I'll install it on a clean VM on Monday and see how we go from there.
