Hi All,

My project uses MQv8.0 with multi-instance queue manager set up. From past few days i can see the SYSTEM.CHANNEL.INITQ is reaching its CURDEPTH to 1000 and then after 2 to 3 min its comes to Zero. The associated runmqchi process is consuming nearly 97% of the allocated CPU.

The TRIGTYPE for all the XMITQ's are set as FIRST. Could anyone please help me in analyzing this situation and find out why the INITQ is reaching to 1000 regularly.

There were no Errors or FDC's reported. Once the INITQ is full, i am expecting the trigger messages to go to DLQ. But even this is not happening.

It might be worth just offloading the messages to another queue/file so you can analyse what all these messages are.

Just out of interest how many transmission queues do you have ? If it is close to 1000 then it's possible that the system is running just fine. You might expect 1000 trigger messages if, for example, all your channels were stopped at the start of the day and someone does a wide area publish.

Cheers,

Paul.

I have nearly 10 XMIT queues. All these sender channels are not stopping from past 3 days. Continuously we receive messages though them. And also the frequency of the INITQ getting full is for every 15 min.

Cheers,

Paul.
