Hi,

We have two unix servers and MQ v 7.1 and 7.0.1.1 installed on them.
currently we have configured the 2 Queue managers in Multi instance with gpfs set up. ( active / passive ) set up.

As per management one server is idle and it is not used so now we need to add a FR and PR QM cluster on top on this multi instance. is this possible ? what changes are to be done in the application to put on cluster QM?

any suggestions are welcome

Yes. The participation of a queue manager in a cluster is separate and independent of it's participation in a multi-instance solution.

None. There's no difference between an application that uses a queue manager in a cluster, and a queue manager that is not. Indeed, just because a queue manager is in a cluster doesn't mean all of it's queues are.

Not a supported set up? The following link says you need to be at 7.0.1.6 minimum.
http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSFKSJ_7.1.0/com.ibm.mq.doc/zi00860_.htm

But MQ 7.0.1 went out of support last year anyway.

You need to get current with your maintenance before you change anything else on this system, especially adding something like one of your two Full Repositories here.
