IBM has officially announced MessageSight version 2.0.

Significant new features include
  • Scalability. Cluster multiple instances
  • RESTful administration API
  • Deployment. Linuxâ„¢, Docker
  • Security. Black list rogue client certificates
  • Performance enhancements
  • High availability enhancements
  • New licensing option for high-availability configurations
  • Plug-in point to support additional protocols


It continues to provide connectivity to WebSphere MQ using a native MQ client - without the need for the MQ Telemetry component.

If you are doing anything with Mobile applications or smart devices, you should strongly consider adopting MQTT and MessageSight.

One small, additional, feature.

It now allows MQ v8 channel username/password...
