Hi all,

After upgrading MQ manager from 7.0.1.9 to 7.0.1.13 and use 7.0.1.13 jars for client, client got below error when connecting to MQ manager. Does anyone have idea whats wrong? Thanks for any hint.

10/06/15 10:28:44 - Process(32440460.17) User(mqm) Program(amqrmppa)
Host(dbsvhk22)
AMQ9661: Bad SSL data from peer on channel '????'.

EXPLANATION:
An SSL channel has stopped because bad SSL data was received from the remote
end of the channel. More detail on the nature of the corruption can be found
from the GSKit return value of 410 (the GSKit return values are documented in
the MQ manuals). The channel is '????'; in some cases its name cannot be
determined and so is shown as '????'.
ACTION:
Ensure you are connecting to a version of MQ which supports SSL at the remote
end of the channel. Check your network between the two ends of the channel, and
consider whether any possible causes of message corruption could be present.
Fix any problems which may exist and restart the channel.

EXPLANATION:
The responder program was started but detected an error.
ACTION:
Look at previous error messages in the error files to determine the error
encountered by the responder program.

Did you verify the keystore/truststore on the client?

Did they get deleted or mangled by your upgrade process?

Did you follow correct IBM procedure and install the full MQ client rather than just passing jar files around?

Why did you upgrade to a version of MQ client that is now out of support?

You should be using 7.1.x or 7.5.x or 8.x

Be aware that some cipherspecs are deprecated in the latest MQ client fixpacks though.

MQ 7.5.0.4 is quite a good version to use.

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error.
