Hi, I wanted to migrate both MQ and MB to version 8.0.0 from version 7.0.1.9 and 7.0.2 respectively. So , my question is- does MB version 8.0.0 supports MQ version 8.0 or I will have to upgrade MQ to 7.5 only.

See here for the OS that you're using and that you've not bothered to mention. On general principles MQv8 isn't supported below 8.0.0.4, so if you're determined to go to 8.0.0.0 (and ignore all the maintenace applied to WMBv8 since it was released) then you probably can't go to MQv8 and on some OS can't go to v7.5 either.

8.0.0.4? When did that suddenly get released?

According to this http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27043086

8.0.0.2 was only released on the 27th Feb 2015....

Confused? Yep.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

Broker v8.0.0.4

That might be true but the sentence said MQv8 and not broker.

well, yes, he didn't explicitly say "MQv8 isn't supported below MB v8.0.0.4"...

But that's what he meant, and that's what the op was asking about

I apologise for not pedantically saying:

Quote:
On general principles MQv8 isn't supported below broker 8.0.0.4

In Vitor's first response, he said

Quote:
and ignore all the maintenace applied to WMBv8 since it was released

in this context

Quote:

Vitor is not 100% culpable in the message missing its target. BUT, the help he is offering is free help and there is an adage, something about a horse and a mouth, that may apply here.

I take it that you sit next to/close by Vitor then?
and he periodically does to you?

Nope. I don't even know Vitor's real name much less where he works. I just like playing "master of the internetz"-- defending the down-trodden from blasphemy and general meanness. That angel emote you have = me

It is possible that I know the person behind the monniker "Vitor" but I do not know who that person is.

I do give him 5 stars for being a "propeller head" outlier by being able to use pendantically in a sentence.

To quote Austin Powers, "ow baby, very ow", on the other hand, I very commend your barbed wit sir!

And I spelt it correctly....

I blame my education. Which is the only clue to my identity I'm prepared to divulge.

Note that those who frequent the forum and have the misfortune to work with or for me have managed to identify me. The conversation typically runs:
