Hello,

I am trying to start my Message Broker service and not able to do so. Here is what I get when I try starting the Service
Quote:
The IBM WebSphere Message Broker component A service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs

Also, I am not able to run any of the "mqsi*" commands. This is what I get when I run any commands(even mqsilist)
Quote:
THe application was unable to start correctly(0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application

I tried restarting my PC and also tried running these as "Admin", but still no luck.

Are there any others who experienced the same ?

Any Help is appreciated.

Thanks
Santosh

What platform?
What version of Broker including FixPack?

Is your user allowed to run Broker commands?

What version of WMB?

Has this ever worked?

By "Admin" do you mean "Administrator", the owner of most Windows system and a user that typically has no authority over WMQ or WMB because his name's too long?

What happens when you run the command as the user that does have authority, i.e. the logged on user of the service?

What's in the event log that corresponds to that message?

What have you done to diagnose the problem except log on as a different user and then bleat here?

Sorry for the incomplete post.

Luckily enough I was able to resolve the issue. This seem to be a fixpack upgrade issue. I was on WMB v7 on WIndows 7 and tried to apply fixpack 6. the fix-pack upgrade would have been messed up. When I re-applied the FP6 it started working.

Thank you for your time
