Hi All ,

We are just started Using/working on MQMFT 7.5 scenarios . Till now we come across all the success scenarios . Then we got a doubt that , Is there any possible condition that a file can miss ( Neither be in Source directory nor be in Destination Directory ) . We tried to make out this scenario and to find the solution for it . But we didn't find any scenario where the source file misses . We tried by stop agents , Queue managers etc . But the file is getting recovered . Thats really an excellent feature of this product . But doubt is still present . Did any of you come across any failure scenario like missing file etc.. that happened when working with MQMFT 7.5 or MQ FTE ?
Can you kindly share with me . It will help us in testing negative scenarios .?

Try source or dest file is locked, such as being read / write by some other process when MFT tries to transfer it. Try transferring a text file that has characters that can't be converted by MFT, this is easy to reproduce from Windows to UNIX. Try setting very low maxdepth on the DATA queue and transfer a large file. Try shutting down the agent qmgr while a transfer is in progress, delete the source file, start qmgr again. MFT should be able to detect / handle all these scenarios, some not as well as others.
