I know that with ESQL using ODBC the CLOB parameter defined in the Oracle database maps to the ESQL CHAR data type.

If I connect to the Oracle database using the JDBC driver, how do I convert my input message (XML) into a CLOB format for the Oracle SP? The Oracle SP calls for a few parameters, some data fields and one field is the entire XML message as a CLOB format.

What data type in java maps to the CLOB datatype in the Oracle Database?

Yes, I did

I received an error that I had invalid number of arguments/types in the parameter list.

Did you check in the infocenter whether the type CLOB was at all supported by the IIB Data direct driver?
