Hi guys,
When creating new objects in HA environment, do we need to define them in both Qmgrs alternatively? Because in the HACMP, one might be in the status of not available. Will the new objects get synchronized after failing over? |

In HA environments there is only queue manager, which may be running on one node or any other node that's part of the cluster.

Anything defined inside the QM will exist on the HA storage, which is mounted on the active node automatically.
However when defining new QMs for HA, there is some work that has to be performed on each node, mainly to keep the mqs.ini contents inline.
There are now commands to assist this and it's all explained in the infocenter.
Not available means that the HA storage for that QM is not mounted, usually because it is in-use by the active node.

Well, I don't think there is any question about it. It can only be attributable to human error. This sort of thing has cropped up before, and it has always been due to human error. |
